For over a week, we were treated to a media fest of tanks rolling down the streets of Georgian cities, bombs, fully armed soldiers and burned-out buildings.

For over a week, journalists, social commentators, political analysts and even a few preachers analyzed the press releases, statements, and news conferences from Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and the Russian duo of Dmitry Medvedev and Vladamir Putin. The fine-toothed analysis was in anticipation of what the statements did and did not say.
