What We Demand

THE 12 PRIMARY DEMANDS of The Freedomist Party of the USA

I. We are Freedomists and we demand freedom for ALL AMERICANS, we demand a fair and equitable process of self-government, and we demand a transfer of power from the rich and powerful to the People whose labor builds this country by means of a free market that is not artificially slanted in favor of Big Business.

II. We demand fair ballot access for all candidates on the same terms regardless of party status.

III. We demand run-off elections in cases where a candidate has not earned more than 50% of the vote.

IV. We demand that all election utilize paper ballots to ensure clean, fair vote tallies.

V. We demand that all elected officials take an oath to the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution and that it be a felony for any elected official to violate this oath by proposing, voting for, or enforcing any law, policy, or regulation that violates the constitution.

VI. We demand that all legislators read all bills that they pass and that no bill contain multiple different types of items.

VII. We demand real community autonomy through a sensible use of jury nullification, real community policing, and a consensual decision making process.

VIII. We demand accountability, transparency, and honesty from our government and we demand a citizen’s free press that is a watch dog, and advocate, and a resource for the People.

IX. We demand accountability for the Supreme Court to the People through a process of super-majoritarian consensus amongst at least 30 States.

X. We demand human scale solutions that empower individuals and local communities, moving power and wealth away from massive corporations and massive governments towards the People.

XI. We demand a People’s movement based on limited government, a truly free market, participatory ownership, a meritocracy, the non-aggression principle, the right of free association, and equal treatment for all persons in terms of opportunity and justice.

XII. We demand a People’s movement that is not a hierarchy, that is not connected to or beholden to the same old establishment organizations, that is run by average people for average people, and that is governed from below and not from above.
