Palin Rocks- Don’t Go There Boys and Girls!

As a mother of two children and a daughter of a mother who gave birth to 6 daughters; I found myself appalled and sickened to hear the critics of Palin unapologetically lay out her family’s personal life without regard for her daughter’s feelings. For what? A political punch in the gut? How dare you wag your finger at Palin’s family values as if she had control over her daughter’s decisions who by the way, was only being human. We all know someone who has gone through this same situation with their children. How is this any different?

Why make political hay out of this personal matter? How hypocritical of adults to say such hurtful words about a child’s actions. So who’s next on the hit list? Her down syndrome child? Or are your twisted views critical of her daughter for “NOT ABORTING” her baby, IF SHE HAD, tell me, would that satiate your ungodly desires for women to be recognized by the actions they take as “pro-choice” silences your lips?

I am personally offended by those who use children to politically attack their opponents. In my view, you are no better than a child predator who waits in the darkness to strike when the time is right. How dare you! I say if you want to use other people’s children as a bully club, I say to YOU that YOU have a very twisted way of protecting our children from harm’s way.

You may not admire family values but there are those who do! So keep your wicked lips off my values and STOP YOUR IRRESPONSIBLE WAYS of using children to point out HOW MUCH YOU HATE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN RAISING CHILDREN WITHOUT THE GOVERNMENT’S INVOLVEMENT.

Let me ask you this: Did you get what you wanted? Did it have the affect that you hoped for? I THINK NOT!

Let me remind you that I am not surprised by your political antics especially after Hillary Clinton was thrown underneath the bus by her own party that dissed 18 million voters for a male chauvinistic presidential candidate who calls females “honey” and did not place Hillary on the ticket because she was a woman who would speak her mind, and a powerful woman who would put a wrinkle in his Utopian plans.

WHERE WERE YOU, WOMAN LIBBER WHEN THIS WOMAN’S CHILD WAS VISCIOUSLY ATTACKED BY POISON PENS? DO YOU ONLY SAVE YOUR CRITICAL JUDGEMENTS FOR THOSE FEMALES WHO CRASH THROUGH THE GLASS CEILING ON YOUR BEHALF WITHOUT RELYING ON YOUR FAVORITE IDEOLOGY? OF COURSE YOU DO, AND YOU STUPIDLY RESERVE THEM FOR THOSE WHO WILL NEVER PUT A WOMAN LIKE YOU ON A TICKET!

As for you boys who call yourselves “Republicans” or “conservatives” who think that Governor Palin was picked only because she was a woman, YOU are the ones engaging in “identity politics”: could it be that Governor Palin is a reformer, a smart leader with a good record of achievement, and held the top post in a very tough state? My goodness boys, haven’t you seen “Tougher In Alaska?” I have a feeling you boys wouldn’t be able to walk 1 mile in HER snowshoes!

    She wasn’t picked because she is a woman? She is a reformer? What has she reformed?

    Governorship

    Palin, running on a clean-government campaign, executed an upset victory over then-Gov. Murkowski in the Republican gubernatorial primary.[5] Despite the lack of support from party leaders and being outspent by her Democratic opponent, she went on to win the general election in November 2006, defeating former Governor Tony Knowles.[5] Palin said in 2006 that education, public safety, and transportation would be three cornerstones of her administration.[13]

    When elected, Palin became the first woman to be Alaska’s governor, and the youngest governor in Alaskan history at 42 years old upon taking office. Palin was also the first Alaskan governor born after Alaska achieved U.S. statehood. She was also the first Alaskan governor not to be inaugurated in Juneau, instead choosing to hold her inauguration ceremony in Fairbanks. She took office on December 4, 2006.

    Highlights of Governor Palin’s tenure include a successful push for an ethics bill, and also shelving pork-barrel projects supported by fellow Republicans. Palin successfully killed the Bridge to Nowhere project that had become a nationwide symbol of wasteful earmark spending.[10][17] “Alaska needs to be self-sufficient, she says, instead of relying heavily on ‘federal dollars,’ as the state does today.”[11]

    She has challenged the state’s Republican leaders, helping to launch a campaign by Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell to unseat U.S. Congressman Don Young[18] and publicly challenging Senator Ted Stevens to come clean about the federal investigation into his financial dealings.[10]

    In 2007, Palin had an approval rating often in the 90s.[11] A poll published by Hays Research on July 28, 2008 showed Palin’s approval rating at 80%.[19]

    Tthe media considers it a crime for the children of people who preach family values to get pregnant.

    The other irony is that the media, from news and TV to music and movies (as well as our “schools”), constantly undermine any moral values parents may try to teach and as any good sociologist will tell you, these “socializing agents” directly impact on the behavior people find acceptable and unacceptable, parents being a part, a big part, but only a part, of the influence on how young people act.

    I have two teenage sons and one is definitely drawn into the nonsense of the media/education/entertainment concept of values free education and moral free entertainment, despite my teaching and discipline. I suppose if he does something stupid I should stop talking about morals and values, eh?

    The boy comes home one day and says “art is freedom” and is constantly whining about being “judged”: he did not learn this at home and I directly confront that, in a calm, logical manner, but he hears me maybe an hour a day (I actually DO spend time with my sons) while hearing the OTHER message ALL THE TIME!

    Here is the REAL headline, folks: Parents Teach Values, Liberal Media and Education Undermines Parents, Tragic Results Abound!

    If you want more of the same, keep voting for (D)!
