Nancy Pelosi says that she is trying to save the planet and prevent global warming, but the reality is that, according to disclosure statements, in May 2007 she invested in T. Boone Pickens clean energy fuels corp., CLNE, which is the sole sponsor of a proposal in California to funnel $5 billion in state funds and $5 billion in Federal funds to this corporation which will indirectly help them create a giant wind farm in the Texas panhandle.

An overlooked story in November of 2007 [4] http://www.texaskaos.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=4243 shows that the T. Boone Pickens plan involves the private control of water, which Pickens wants to be able to sell to big cities via giant water pipelines which will be built on land seized under eminent domain.

How did he do this? He did this by pushing through a water district which consists of only 8 acres of land and then applying eminent domain to expand that district and seize land from local ranchers which, in the end, puts vital water resources under his private control.

The Sierra Club, which you might think has an opinion that means something to Nancy Pelosi who just wants to save the world, had this to say, We have real concerns about private control of water, said Ken Kramer, director of the Texas Sierra Club. Water is a resource, yet in some respects it is a commodity. Its as essential to human life as air. That puts water in a different class.
Pickens plans to sell 200,000 acre-feet from parched West Texas Staked Plains annually. His plan is opposed by water policy planners as economically infeasible. This extensive extraction will affect natural spring flows and the rural Texas Panhandle communities that depend on that water. It will also adversely affect family farming and sustainable development from Texas to South Dakota, according to opponents.

Pickens needs money and he has not been able to find investors to pay for a $110 Billion Bond he wants his new water authority to issue, therefore he is piggy-backing the windmill plan on to the water infrastructure development plan to use the money obtained for the wind farms in order to pay for the water infrastructure, which was his original goal.

While these plans were in the works as of November 2007, with the creation of this water district, the energy company, CLNE, was offered for public investment in an IPO in May of 2007, an IPO that was not advertised, but which resulted in Nancy Pelosi quickly jumping on board. Nancy Pelosi Purchased between $50,000-$100,000 in CLNE stock on May 25, 2007 apparently on its initial public offering.

It is hard to tell if the water scheme is the device being used to seize the land or if the wind turbine scheme is the means by which he will fund the water scheme, but no matter what the case may be, Nancy Pelosi will personally profit from whatever he does as an investor.

Nancy Pelosi is one of the richest members of Congress with a net worth of over US$25 million, which comes primarily from investments a large portfolio of jointly owned San Francisco Bay Area real estate, and, now, of course, stocks in CLNE.
While the stock was initially offered at $14 [5] http://quotes.nasdaq.com/asp/SummaryQuote.asp?symbol=CLNE&selected=CLNE and is now valued below that amount, the low of $10 in early July of this year is bouncing back, especially in light of ads by Pickens and growing consensus that the Pickens plan will gain support, especially if Pelosi is firmly behind it.

T Boone Pickens runs CLNE, this is the company Nancy has invested in, and apparently, the push is Natural Gas, which is the focus of the $5 billion in Ca. tax money and $5 billion in fed money they are seeking. The Pickens Plan is based in the idea of using wind to free up natural gas used for energy which he can convert to fuel for transportation.

Pickens also owns Mesa Water, the company that is seizing water in Texas, and Mesa Power, a company that is investing in his wind power.

We are going to be looking into all these companies. Apparently, Warren Buffet is also an investor in wind power, but we are not sure if he is directly involved. This may involve more than Pickens and Pelosi….

One of CLNE’s underwriters is WR Hambrecht and Co., owned by William Hambrecht, a leftwing activist who has given, on average, around $80,000 per year to liberal candidates and causes. It is probable that such a heavyweight in the leftist movement is also well known to Nancy Pelosi and to Harry Reid, who will be partnering with the Center for American Progress Action Fund and UNLV to host the National Clean Energy Summit on Aug. 19 with such notables as President Clinton, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Gov. Janet Napolitano of Arizona, Gov. Bill Ritter of Colorado, and Texas entrepreneur T. Boone Pickens.
The event is being billed as non-partisan but, clearly, it is anything but that: it is a massive effort to fool the public into supporting the Pickens plan which will enrich, so far as we know so far, Nancy Pelosi and William Hambrecht, two leading lights in the leftist movement.

The Pickens plan would concentrate control over our energy in the hands of this company and its underwriters and investors, who we now know are leading lights of the leftist movement.

The tie in with the massive water-grab that this company is engaged in shows the true motive, not only of these players in their bid to stop a vote on drilling for, but in their bid to use “global warming” to fool Americans into giving up their energy sovereignty to governments and corporations.

Pickens. it is now clear, is happy to use whatever cause or group he can to turn a quick buck. As Jason Gillman of [8] Michigan Taxes Too Much said to me on the phone, “most people don’t realize how a small investment can be turned into a huge windfall.”

You see, the investors in this ponzi scheme are banking on keeping the price of energy high, keeping the supply of domestic oil low on the basis of “environmental concerns”, and getting the government to invest BILLIONS in their plans, which will concentrate energy resources into fewer hands while making them all filthy rich.

This may indeed be a bigger scandal than Watergate as we find more and more leading lights in the leftist movement involved in what is now an apparent comity of action centered on the global warming myth and the Pickens plan. The media is ignoring this and ONLY YOU can help us t overcome the media Black Out.

The act as described by Senator Conrad is below, I have added my comments and elucidations. The bottom line is simple: we are in an artificial energy crisis that is being caused almost exclusively by government regulations and laws that defy free market common sense and place a myth, global warming as anthropocentric, above the simple FACT that our economic prosperity relies on CHEAP ENERGY. It is the government’s artificial limits on energy production, which we now know is profit driven in its own way, that is the root cause of our ills.

As Ronald Reagan said so well, “the government is not the solution to our problems, the government IS the problem!”

Nancy Pelosi may not be investing directly in the Pickens water grab, but Picken’s plans to take water from west Texas are an integral part of the overall strategy, a way to finance the land for the wind-turbines, a way to make a lot of money, and a way to pave the way for the natural gas part of his plan.

Pickens is now sound-biting that he is FOR drilling, but in reality an “All of the Above” energy plan is NOT conducive to his plans: increased oil supplies would cause the price of natural gas to rise. Pickens understand that his message is not selling the American People, so he is adjusting it, but if he was sincere he would join in DEMANDING that Nancy Pelosi [13] CALL CONGRESS BACK! So far, his commercial say one thing while his actions say another.

In Roberts County Texas he was able to create a “Fresh Water Supply District” that will, through his machinations, provide water but not primarily to Roberts County. Opposition to this District within the County remains high, but the local government was not able to resist the Billionaire or all his friends in Texas.

Pickens is using a “Water District” to “lease” water rights from land-owners, and he is threatening to use eminent domain for those land-owners who refuse to give up their water rights. He wants to ability to sell 200,000 acre feet of water per year, each acre foot of water amounts to over 300,000 gallons, or over 600 BILLION gallons of water which would rapidly deplete the natural water table and, it is feared, leave local farmers in want of water.

The U.S. Department of Justice is blocking changes to Texas law that helped create a water district, dominated by 3 employees of Texas billionaire T. Boone Pickens. This change allowed three Pickens employees to serve as supervisors the Fresh Water Supply District, which was created over and 8 acre parcel of land owned by Pickens. The changes approved last session in the state House and Senate allowed property owners in a freshwater district, even if they don’t live there, to serve on the board. Previous law required board supervisors be registered, resident voters.

Jay Rosser, spokesman for Pickens Mesa Water, said that the district could find new, eligible supervisors, if necessary and so, it is unlikely that this challenge will get in the way of the Billionaire investor. Pickens’ Mesa Water and Mesa Power joined with the district to pursue right of way between the remote resources and customers in Dallas and Fort Worth. The district gave Pickens access to eminent domain, a government’s power to compel the sale of private property for public use.

Mesa Water, Mesa Power, and CLNE, which Pelosi invests in, are essentially an unholy trinity, shuffling things around, working in tandem but in such a way as to confuse observers who fail to see the comity of action between the three entities and the politicians who support them

The legislators who sponsored the offending laws swear they had no idea that this law would specifically allow these two companies to pursue their aims as the law and the amendment were passed during the last crazy days of session, so most lawmakers probably didn’t know what they were voting on. If this is true, proposals that require legislators to READ THE LAW before they pass the law would have helped prevent a situation where one man stands to gain BILLIONS, perhaps a TRILLION, in profits by decimating the Ogallala Aquifer which allows the United States to lead the world in food production. Without the water it provides, the corn, wheat and beef industries could be seriously effected in a negative manner.

Overview
Knowing that the rising cost of energy is the number one issue facing Americans today, ten Senators from both sides of the aisle have come together to present a proposal to reduce gas prices, lessen our dependence on foreign oil, and strengthen our economy. The New Era legislation represents a true compromise, incorporating common sense ideas.

It is a compromise, IN COMMON SENSE, it does not provide an “All of The Above” solution”, over 70% of Americans want drilling NOW, everywhere possible, right now!!!

The purpose of the legislation is to transition our economy – particularly the surface transportation sector – to run off alternative fuels other than gasoline and diesel. The legislation dedicates at least $20 billion in the next ten years to this important endeavor.

“To Transition the economy” is doublespeak for “a planned economy” which is, by its very definition, centrally controlled (which leads to all kinds of unpleasant “isms”). Folks, this is CODE for FORCING you off the road. Remember, CHEAP ENERGY IS THE LIFEBLOOD OF OUR ECONOMY!! MORE on this will be coming out later on.

To ease gas prices in the interim, the New Era bill includes significant conservation provisions and targeted, responsible measures to increase our domestic production of traditional fuel sources. Any new domestically produced resources must stay in the United States. The bill will also establish a National Commission on Comprehensive Energy Policy to identify critical “inhibitors and prohibiters” to the goals established in the bill and to make recommendations to Congress on policies to overcome these obstacles as well as to address related matters such as carbon capture and storage, nuclear and renewable energy, and the need for upgrading and transitioning the national grid and other energy infrastructure.

This gang of 10 is really seeking to FORCE is to use less and is promising only to rely on untried new technologies that are not yet at the standard of providing cheap energy!!!

• An intensive effort to transition vehicles to non-petroleum based fuels;
• a robust federal commitment to conservation and energy efficiency; and
• targeted, responsible domestic production of energy resources.

Read “intensive effort” as “intensive regulation and central planning.” The CODE WORD here is “targeted”, read that as “LIMITED”

Converting Cars and Trucks to Non-Oil Fuel Sources to Regain Energy Independence
The New Era legislation funds a $20 billion “Apollo Project” like effort to support the goal of transitioning 85% of America’s new motor vehicles to non- petroleum-based fuels within 20 years. To accelerate this transition, the legislation includes:
• $7.5 billion for R&D focused on the major technological barriers to alternative fuel vehicles, such as advanced batteries;
• $7.5 billion to help U.S. automakers and parts makers re-tool and re-equip to become the world leader in making alternative fuel vehicles;
• Consumer tax credits of up to $7,500 per vehicle to incentivize Americans to purchase advanced alternative fuel vehicles (those that run primarily on non-petroleum fuels) and up to $2,500 to retrofit existing vehicles with advanced alternative fuel engines.

This will involve massive regulation and is, essentially, a “planned economy” just like the old Soviets: you can’t “decide” what the market needs/wants, you have to let the market decide, period!!!

Enhancing Conservation
To ease gas prices and protect our environment during the transition, the proposal includes a significant federal commitment to promoting conservation and efficiency. These include:
• Extending renewable energy, carbon mitigation and energy conservation and efficiency tax incentives, including the production tax credit, through 2012 to create greater certainty and spur greater investment;
• New consumer tax credits of up to $2,500 to purchase highly fuel efficient vehicles, to help Americans reduce their annual gas costs and reduce oil imports;
• Extending and expanding the $2,500 tax credit for hybrid electric vehicles;
• $500 million for R&D into new materials and other innovations to improve vehicle fuel efficiency;
• $2.5 billion in R,D&D on next generation biofuels and infrastructure;
• Tax incentives for the installation of alternative fueling stations, pipelines and other infrastructure;
• Expanding transmission capacity for power from renewable sources;
• New dedicated funding for the weatherization assistance program.

Responsible, Targeted Domestic Energy Production
To help meet our energy needs until our economy transitions to advanced alternative fuel vehicles, the New Era bill increases domestic energy production in environmentally responsible ways. The legislation:
• Provides a CO2 sequestration credit for use in enhanced oil recovery to increase production from existing oil wells while reducing greenhouse gas emissions;
• Opens additional acreage in the Gulf of Mexico for leasing (in consultation with the Defense Department to ensure that drilling is done in a manner consistent with national security) and allows Virginia, North and South Carolina and Georgia to opt in to leasing off their shores. Retains an environmental buffer zone extending 50 miles offshore where new oil production will not be allowed. Requires all new production to be used domestically. Creates a commission to make recommendations to Congress on future areas that should be considered for leasing. Provides for appropriate revenue sharing for states that allow leasing off their shores;
• Provides grants and loan guarantees for the development of coal-to-liquid fuel plants with carbon capture capability. Plants must have lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions below those of the petroleum fuels they are replacing;
• Supports nuclear energy by increasing staff at the NRC, providing workforce training, accelerating depreciation for nuclear plants, and supporting R&D on spent fuel recycling to reduce nuclear waste.

Offsets

Remaining offsets will be finalized in consultation with the Finance Committee after accounting for interaction effects with other pending legislation.
