Governor Sarah Palin came onto the scene, turning liberals onto their collective ears.  The Obama campaign came out with a derisive “Mayor of a city of 9000″ statement, completely ignoring the fact that Governor. Palin is the governor of Alaska.  Senator Obama came out later and distanced himself from his campaign manager’s statement.  The media, and Senator Obama’s campaign still refer to her as “Ms. Palin” instead of Governor Palin as is her title to diminish her experience.

CNN on Friday afternoon put forth the rumor that Governor Palin’s youngest child was actually Bristol’s child and Sarah was pretending to be the mom.  Then there were the accusations of Sarah being a poor mother.  “How could she possibly care for her children while Vice President, much less while on the campaign trail?”  The general consensus of the leftist media was that Sarah should stay home to care for her children instead of being a working Mom, much less campaigning for Vice President of the United States.

[2] ObamaDefense.com, the site that Senator Obama stated was formed to fight the slurs and smears against him, threw up [3] sarahpalingayrights.com on the Internet, lying about her record on gay rights.  When the ip was traced to ObamaDefense.com (as well as some anti-McCain sites) and the find was posted on the Internet, the Obama camp scrambled to remove the Governor Palin slander and change the ips to cover up the fact that ObamaDefense.com was actually doing the smearing instead of fighting smears.

After 3 days had passed with Obama’s camp helping smear Palin, then finding that the rumors had been debunked, Obama comes out to distance himself from the smear campaign.  The media, including Bill O’Reilly of FoxNews lauded Obama as a gentleman, claiming that the rumors had started earlier the same day.

The Obama campaign posted the first 5 digits of Sarah’s social security number on the Internet.  Soon thereafter, her social security number was posted by other left-wing blogs with statements that they were getting her medical records and appeals to search everything one can find with the number.

Posts earlier in the week by these same Obama supporters mentioned that the National Enquirer was investigating Sarah, then when the NE took credit for outing Bristol’s pregnancy, these same blogs were angered that they dared take credit for their work.  These same Obama supporters stated that sacrificing a 17 year old girl to slander was for the common good.  What is she when compared to getting Obama elected? The ends justify the means.

The talking heads wailing that Governor Palin cannot possibly take care of her children leads me to ask, “Where were they when Senator Edwards announced that he was continuing his campaign; although his wife had been diagnosed with terminal cancer?”  Where were these people asking who would take care of HIS children?  Where were these people claiming him to be a poor father, much less poor husband?  Senator Edwards was campaigning for the Presidential primaries that would last for 2 years had his bid been successful.  Governor Palin’s campaigning will last all of two months.  Where was the media when they refused to make any mention of his sleazy affair with another woman and paying her while on his campaign?  This same media that has not hesitated to put forth every lie put out by the Democrats.

Americans witnessed the media and the Obama campaign do much the same with Senator Hillary Clinton.  Now it’s Governor Palin.  The media has crowned Senator Obama as king and the sheople will surely go to the polls and vote as they dictate.  Or will they?
