Is China trying to buy off U.S. business?

These business talking heads seem to believe that China is trying to show good faith in trade, but who are these businesses and what are they giving back to China? Is this a move of ‘good will’ or a strategy to learn more from U.S. businesses so they can create their China HP, Motorola, etc.
