Senator Obama has repeatedly promised on the campaign trail and in the debates to give “95 percent” of the American people a tax cut. There is, however, a little problem with this promise. Fewer than 95 percent of the American people actually pay income taxes each year. According to the National Taxpayers Union, the top 50 percent paid 97.01 percent of all Federal income taxes by income. Those below $31,987 paid the other 2.99 percent. Based on these figures, which are from the 2006 tax year, you can extrapolate that about 70 percent of Americans pay federal income taxes. Please understand, sir, I literally prefer to LOSE everything and suffer, not as if I have never been poor and destitute, then to see such a growth of government power, for taking wealth and ownership is power, and I do not beleive anything the government takes is temporary.

No matter what, you folks are opening a can of something you do not understand or comprehend, but if you folks do this thing, which many of us view us socialism, and we still suffer, may God save us all!

Our nation was not founded by men with smooth knees or who were sight walker, men and women who preferred security and safety to liberty at any price.

The Constitution IS the law of the land and the mere fact that for so long so many have been willing to abide such criminality does not in any wise change the material facts, it only changes the enforcement. The Constitution is the Law, those who violate it, especially in public trust, are in fact malefactors, criminals in a legal sense,  even if there is no enforcemen.

The present effort to “pass” a “law” which is, in point of fact not only a spending bill but the single largest in all of our history, through the Senate, as a means of compelling the People’s House into submission, is, in point of fact, a criminal activity as a violation of the oath of office and the theft of moneys not owed to the user or belonging to them. At least seven felons convicted of crimes including cocaine possession and robbery were recruited by a liberal group to register voters in Milwaukee , raising fears they may have committed voter fraud.

All seven were designated as special registration deputies, which allows them to solicit and keep voter registration applications before turning them in to local election officials.

“We have a lot of folks with felony records and, frankly, they need jobs,” said Carolyn Castore, political director in Wisconsin for the group that hired them.

That group is the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which describes itself as the nation’s largest grass-roots community organization of low- and moderate-income people.

Seeing that our Constitution is a living breathing document, I would imagine that as it sits in that vacuum sealed box in DC, it sighed a very large sigh of relief hearing that those dastardly socialists lost their bid on the US economy yesterday.

Miss Queen Socialist Nanna sure was testy yesterday, wasn’t she? Does she sense that her party is over? After the American People said no to socialism, I wonder if Miss Nanna is crying in her Perrier? And what about Czarbie? He projects himself as a Uniter and not a Divider yet he failed to unite 218 Democrats? What is that about? He can’t even unite fellow socialists…how is he going to unite the world? Oh. Wait. He is planning on that Civilian National Security Force. I forgot. My bad. But, did he not claim that he and he alone was responsible for the “agreed upon deal” to save the nation? The AFL-CIO and other supporters of unions support a bill, the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), which would radically change laws regulating the establishment of union representation in non-union workplaces. Current labor law provides for a process where the union begins the process by asking employees to desire union representation to sign cards, which is followed by a campaign period where both sides make their case for and against the union. And then the final step of the process is a secret ballot election to decide if the workplace will elect union representation. The change proposed in the Employee Free Choice Act would essentially eliminate the latter two steps and certify a union if 50 percent plus one more employee sign the cards. If enacted, the legislation would effectively deny employees the right to decide the union or no union issue via the security of a secret ballot. Read the rest of this entry »

•      

Permanently Opens Offshore Drilling in Atlantic, Pacific, eastern Gulf of Mexico and Oil Shale Areas in statute

•       Expedited Leasing Process: Allows the Mineral Management Service (MMS) to being preleasing and leasing activities immediately, without the need to completely write a new 5-year leasing plan. The Drill Now Act would eliminate the need to write this 5-year plan, and allows the pre-leasing to begin immediately. Under current law, drilling likely wouldn’t begin until the end of 2010 or mid-2011, but under Drill Now Act, drilling could begin in late 2009.

•       Ensures State Royalty Sharing 50/50: Creates revenue sharing for all states that allow drilling off their coasts divided – 50% for the coastal stay allowing the drilling and   50% to the Federal Treasury.

•       Expedited Judicial Review of Environmental Lawsuits: Allows only 90 days to submit a legal case to U.S. District Courts.   Any appeal of a district court can only be made in the U.S. District Court of Appeals in D.C.  Limits judicial review for how the Secretary enforces laws.
