JOIN American Freedomist Network Radio (AFN Radio)

Do you want to have your radio show promoted by the American Freedomist Network?

You can join our Network for FREE if you do the following:

1. Post at least one BLOG post each week about your show or anything you wish to post about on our upcoming blog.afn50.com

2. Agree to and abide by our “Freedomist Pledge!

“I pledge to uphold the Constitution of these United States of America as well as the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Freedomist Principles of limited government with maximum local control the principles of economic freedom, the sovereignty of every member in my community, the right of free association for every private group, club, church, or business, and the absolute local autonomy of my community as a Free Society in which almost ALL decisions that affect local people are made by local people for local people.”

3. Place the letters “AFN” in your shows title or somewhere in its description so that listeners know you have taken the Freedomist Pledge and are committed, in your own way, to advancing those principles

4. FORWARD our AM and PM Update or post it on your blog or website

Our AM Update will tell people what is coming up throughout the day and they will also contain up to 10 mini-articles of 300 or so words which promote AFN Radio Network members by describing them, carrying snippets from your blogs, and anything you wish to submit.

Our PM update will have a Daily News Brief about National and International political or military news along with news updates and announcements by our members as well as up to 10 mini-articles as described above.

WHY JOIN, What Do You Get?

1. You will be listed in our Directory of Shows

2. Once a week your 300 word article, snippet, or promotion will be sent to the entire network and will be included on the front page of AFN50.com which receives at least 3,000 visitors per day

3. After 90 days, or earlier if we deem necessary, we will provide space within one of our internet proerties for your own website or Blog

4. You will have the option of SUBSCRIBING to The American Freedomist for 1/3^rd the normal rate (normal rate is $45 per year, you will pay $15 per year if you choose to subscribe)

5. You will have deep discounts for ads, sponsorships, and any publication and other services and products we develop

JOINING the Network is FREE, it does not constitute ANY surrender of your independence or of your content, it just means you agree with our pledge, want people to know, and are willing to mutually promote other AFN Radio members!

If you are FED UP with the FEDS, SHADOW THEM!

We need to get back to basics folks, all the fancy gadgets and software won’t save us, we need to START on a foundation of AVERAGE FOLKS simply shadowing the people who run our Federal Government: read their websites and blogs and press releases and Google them daily, copy and paste snippets or write your own report, TELL US what YOU would do if you were them, and maintain a “Topic” within a relevant forum with their contact information, links to news items about them, and your assessment of their votes and actions.

There are LOTS of things we can do building on this foundation, but let’s keep this simple and direct.

If you are FED UP WITH THE FEDS, as we are, then SHADOW THEM!

We are FORMING a “SHADOW GOVERNMENT IN EXILE” over at www.vusalive.com for FREEDOMISTS who agree with the following pledge:

Here’s the way it works:

1. You join a CAUCUS, our version of political parties, except these are for Freedomists who happen to be liberals, conservative, democrats, republicans, independents, and etc. who agree that whatever their beliefs or ideology they agree that LOCAL communities and individuals should jave MOST of the political or “civic” authority and that the Constitution and Declaration of Independence are the LITERAL law of the land

2. You CHOOSE a person to Shadow. You can CHOOSE any elected official, including your Governor, your Senators, or your Representative (you cannot choose any official if you do not live in the state or district they represent) or you can choose any Judge from the Circuit courts of appeals and higher (again, must be in your area), any Member of the Executive branch, or any member of the Federal Reserve System.

As a “shadow” officials, e.g. a “Shadow Governor” or “Shadow Senator” you are the shadow of that person, you will follow their doings, copy snippets in your Topic Area, write what YOU would do, and even, as we get going, contact them to do an interview or to have questions answered (you will describe yourself as a Reporter for the American Freedomist Network, a network of News Blogs and Cyber News Radio Shows that reaches over 75,000 people per month).

All you have to do is FOCUS on that person and if other people want to shadow them, you can form a “Shadow Committee” who will support your efforts (look out, however, Shadow Committees will ELECT the shadow official once that have more than 2 members).

You can choose up to THREE officials to shadow until someone comes along who wishes to shadow one of them, whereupon you will have to decide

3. You can decide to participate on the Admin side of the Government by managing any forums, blogs, or etc. that are associated with the Shadow Government with opportunities for profit sharing based on subscriptions sold, premium memberships, and ad revenue.

YOU DO NOT have to be a “shadow” to JOIN the Virtual USA Shadow Government. You can simply be a Citizen and join Shadow Committees for your Governor, your Senators, and your Congressional District where Shadow Governors, Senators, and Representatives will work with you to stay focused on what these people do and where you will be able to, as we grow, participate in writing INSTRUCTIONS to these officials which we will deliver to them via fax, email, letter, or in person.

4. RUN FOR PRESIDENT, VICE PRESIDENT, or SUPREME COURT Justice! Once we have at least 100 members we will hold an election for Shadow President, Shadow Vice President, and Shadow Supreme Court Justice who will each serve a 30 day term, with a maximum of 4 terms in a year.

Capital, on of the most beautiful capital builngs in the nation, and talk “shop” about building a NETWORK of Pa Bloggers, how and WHYT to start a LOCAL NewsBlog, different entities and organizations you can turn to for help, information about The American Freedomist Network, and information about The Virtual USA Shadow Government and the Pennsylvania Virtual USA Shadow Government.

Armistice and Veteran’s Day 2008

For Armistice and Veteran’s Day we have attempted to collect a few edifying morsels of interest.

This is a lot less easy than it sounds. Most of what is available are isolated video snippets; or there’s a choice of the pacifist anti-war stuff, either of the hefty Gothic or of the sentimental tear-jerk variety.

However, given the current upsurge of interest - primarily in the US - we’ve unearthed some intriguing, if highly emotionally charged footage on the Weimar Republic, and the German Revolution that followed the chaos of World War I. It’s got some rare historical material, as well as background information on whatever fateful constellation of events led to such a profound and total collapse of morality. The music would certainly not have been our initial choice; we felt however as its message grew, that it serves the purpose of conveying some of the nihilism and the obsession with surreal horror that is so typical for the period, and that led to its inevitable outcome in World War II.

In this respect we can also refer you to earlier postings on the subject of the German interbellum: “Resist Commie Prop, Support Indy”, “The Postmodern Anti-War Hero, the Red Baron”, “The German Revolution”.

From the cultural angle, we proudly present a collection of World War I propaganda posters from all countries involved in the Great War. The entire site is rather a gem and worthy of further exploration. For example, Prose and Poetry reads …

Next there’s World War I American Legacy, a DVD documentary directed by Mark Bussler.

Wall Street Journal has a reality check for the US. “Soldiers of the Great War” lays an provocative link with the present: “(…) the victors failed to prevent the rise of the totalitarian regimes in Russia and Germany, the fascists in Italy and the militarists in Japan (…) the U.S. withdrew from its global responsibilities. (…) Now we are at a similar pass in Iraq, where the U.S. has effectively defeated Sunni and Shiite insurgents on the battlefield. But whether this costly achievement will hold depends largely on our willingness to support the Iraqi government and steel it against its own fascistic challengers, particularly Iran. If there’s one lesson to be learned on this Armistice Day, it’s of the price that’s paid when we allow victory to slip from our grasp. >>>

One of the blessings of living part of one’s life in cyberspace is the human connection one gets with people you will never know on a personal level. Following document was made by someone who remains anonymous, in commemoration of his great grandfather Aaron Kennett who fought in the Great War. He flourished from 1887 to 19187. May God bless them both, and all who fought and continue to fight for freedom, against barbarism and oppression.

The music accompanying the touching family document is the hymn “I Vow to Thee my Country”, created in 1921 when a poem by Cecil Spring-Rice was set to music by Gustav Holst. It expresses the unconditional love, loyalty and self-sacrifice that was once unquestioningly devoted to one’s country. It is a victory of the Postmodern One Worlders that these words - while warm and patriotic only a few years back when played at my father’s funeral - now sound strangely surreal.

But make no mistake: whereas giving one’s life for a state in Europe today seems unthinkable and alien, a renewed fight for individual freedom against neotot pocket potentates is not unthinkable. The same forces taunting national colours and hymns also whisper of collectives and the redundancy of democracy, suggesting that the value of ‘enlightened dictators’ is somewhat underrated. Ignore them at your peril …
