That asteroid is Apophis, a 900-foot asteroid. Calculations released on Christmas Eve 2004 appeared to show that there was a greater than 2 percent chance the asteroid would hit the Earth in 2029.

Researchers announced Wednesday that for the first time ever they have found a shroud that has been verified to be from the era of Jesus in a tomb on the edge of the Old City of Jerusalem. The DNA-tested shroud had a simple weave, researchers said.
