Politics- News- Dems fade in New Hampshire

NH Poll: Dems Face A Thumpin’- RealClearPolitics

New Hampshire Democrats have been on a roll for years, particularly at the federal level in winning both House seats in 2006, a Senate race in 2008, and going blue for Democrats in the presidential elections of 2004 and 2008. But a new University of New Hampshire Granite State poll shows that the party is in danger of a clean sweep in 2010.

politics-news - left attacks blue dogs over spending freeze

Stupid Or Venal? Blue Dogs Want More Spending Cuts- crooks and liars

Are the Blue Dogs shamelessly self-interested and venal, or are just plain stupid? Economists are predicting these high unemployment numbers through the end of 2011, and these clowns want to cut government spending even further. As long as they get to keep their jobs, they don’t give a crap about putting even more Americans out of work. Lovely!

Blue Dog Democrats want Congress to go further than President Barack Obama’s proposal to freeze spending in next year’s budget.

Ryan Will Not Run for President- political wire

Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), “who has recently been under attack by House
Speaker Nancy Pelosi and lavished with praise by former Alaska Gov.
Sarah Palin (R), is ruling out a 2012 run for president,” ABC News reports.

Said Ryan: “I’ll give you as Shermanesque a quote as I can. I am not
going to run for president. I’m just not going to do it. My head’s not
that big, and my kids are too small.”

politics-news- john murtha death triggers election

Pennsylvania Must Hold Special Election to Replace John Murtha - politics daily

According to state law, Pennsylvania must hold a special election to replace the late Rep. John Murtha, Politico reports. After Murtha’s vacancy has been officially declared, Gov. Ed Rendell has 10 days to call a special election, which can take place no more than 60 days later. The likely date is May 18, the day the state’s regularly scheduled primary elections will be held.

There will be no primary to select candidates for the special election. County party leaders from Murtha’s western Pennsylvania district will select candidates at a convention, and the winner of the special election will serve the remainder of Murtha’s term. Like all House members, Murtha was up for re-election in November, which means the winner of the special election will have to win another vote less than six months after taking office.

Politics- News- Craig Becker Lost

Craig Becker Defeated- Red State

People are policy and while much attention has been focused on the profusion of buffoons and poltroons Obama has installed at the cabinet and sub-cabinet level positions in his administration, the real work of radically changing the character of our government has been entrusted to anonymous apparatchiks.

Some of these have bubbled to the top and have resignd: green czar and self identified communist Van Jones, UN financial reform guru and part time identity thief Jide Zeitlin, performance czar and tax cheat Nancy Killefer. Safe schools czar and pedophile apologist Kevin Jennings remains on the job as do others.
