Joe Stack, IRS bomber, accused by Leftist bloggers as “Teabagger.”   But was he?

In Stack’s ranting there are, as many are likely to point out, echoes of the frustrations that mark Tea Party expressions. In Colorado, as elsewhere, Tea Party rallying cries include “listen to me” and “give me back my country.”

But a closer look at his manifesto suicide note reveals Leftward leanings…

While Joe Stack, the suicide bomber who flew his plane into the Austin, TX IRS office, owed money to the IRS and had experienced hardships through IRS rule changes and bad tax advice, his underlying motivation was tied to progressive/marxist ideology.

Immediately upon the break of the story Progressive blogs rush to label Joe Stack as an angry Right-Wing male, of the Tea Party brand.  

The Progressives on blogs like Daily Kos, Huffinton Post and the jazz artist groupie blog, Little Green Footballs, were already blaming the Tea Parties. Well to their horror, this man is not a Rightwinger He appears to be a Progressive!

In his manifesto/suicide note, Stack quoted Karl Marx, and ranted against the capitalist system.   In their zeal to discredit the Tea Party movement, progressive bloggers jumped too quickly to label Joe Stack as a Tea Party ideologue.  But if they had researched the story like professional journalists, they would have recognized Stack as one of their one.
