To get special interests out of politics, get Congress out of Washington Ralph Benko

Ralph Benko’s innovative idea to get the special interests out of Washington is to allow remote voting by congressmen, keeping them in their districts and not in a central gathering place that makes it easy for lobbyists to get access to them, while harder for their remotely located constituents to reach them.

Seniors at a public housing complex in Texas have enjoyed having church services brought to them on Sunday for the last 14 years but the Housing Authority says “No more!”  They claim it is a violation of separation of church and state. The residents do not agree. The Methodist church will be missed very much by residents especially those like Myna Hardy, who is 84, who has attended ever since services started.

In a remote city in western Iran, Pastor Wilson Issavi of the Assyrian Evangelical Church in Kemanshah, not only lives in dreadful conditions but seems to have been tortured as well. His wife Medline Nazanin shared this information with reporters. She is an activist for human rights in Iran.

The AME Church, the AME Zion Church, and the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, have revealed a plan they are calling The Male Investment Plan, and have pledged to fund it with 10 million annually. The plan, a collective effort to address the plight of the African American males.
